A New Chapter in British Tailoring
“Inspired by fifteen years on Savile Row and a lifetime of appreciating craftsmanship, RABAN is a modern tailoring house creating garments individually cut and made to your measurements, with quality, character and individuality at its core.”
A Lifetime of Influence
Tommy Raban is the founder of RABAN. Before Savile Row and before tailoring, there were two men who quietly shaped the way he saw the world.
His grandfathers, Roy and Maurice, taught him that what a man wears says something about who he is. Roy spent more than 40 years at The Savoy, serving as Head Barman of the world renowned American Bar, while Maurice served as a Wing Commander, flying Sunderland flying boats during the Second World War. Though their lives were very different, they shared the same quiet confidence, integrity and respect for presentation & people.
At eighteen, Tommy began his career on Savile Row. Over the next fifteen years, including just under a decade at Scabal, home to some of the finest luxury cloth in the industry, he developed a deep appreciation for craftsmanship and built lasting relationships across tailoring.
RABAN is the culmination of that experience, bringing together Tommy’s years on Savile Row with a belief in timeless tailoring, exceptional craftsmanship and personal service.
Three symbols.
Three influences.
Every RABAN garment carries three emblems. Each has been carefully chosen to represent the people, places and experiences that shaped the brand.
The Philosophy
Together, these three emblems tell the story of RABAN. A heritage shaped by family, refined through craftsmanship and inspired by the belief that true style begins with character.
-
The crown draws inspiration from the Royal Air Force crest, a tribute to Tommys grandfather, Maurice, who served during the Second World War.
A symbol of resilience, integrity and understated confidence, it reflects the values at the heart of RABAN.
-
The shears represent Tommy’s years spent learning the craft and creativity of Savile Row.
They symbolise precision, craftsmanship and a commitment to doing things properly and the values that continue to define every RABAN garment.
-
The shield draws inspiration from The Savoy, where Tommy’s grandfather Roy spent forty two years welcoming guests from around the world.
It stands for confidence, integrity and hospitality, the belief that the way you make people feel is just as important as the way you present yourself.
The Cuts
The RABAN collection begins with three signature cuts. Each reflects the same commitment to craftsmanship, quality and character, while offering its own distinct silhouette.
